Secure Wireless UGV Data Links For NLOS Communications
Introduction
The FD-7800 radio leverages IWAVE's COFDM IP Mesh waveform, delivering exceptional real-world coverage, unmatched throughput, and robustness. IWAVE's proprietary waveform operates as a mobile ad hoc network (MANET) and incorporates multiple features to deliver superior performance in the most challenging environments. The FD-7800 radio supports all waveform variants, enabling users to mix and match across various form factors and power levels.
Each waveform is best suited for specific applications, from UGV swarming to point-to-point links, and is interchangeable across all IWAVE software-defined radios (SDRs). IWAVE offers one of the broadest hardware product lines, ranging from the smallest, lightest, and lowest-power OEM modules for micro-UAVs to rugged radios ideal for maritime, ground vehicle, and control station applications.
Frequency options range from 500MHz to 1.4GHz, with support for combining bands to create tri-band products.
Each band typically offers 100MHz of frequency, one of the widest frequency coverages in the industry. IWAVE IP MESH radios provide self-forming, self-healing mesh networks, ranging from point-to-point links with two radios to dynamic mesh networks with up to 32 radios.
FD-7800 MiMo IP Mesh Core Module Key Features: Powerful Performance in Ultra-Compact Design The FD-7800 IP MESH Core Module is engineered for cutting-edge unmanned systems, delivering 2x2 MIMO MANET radio performance in an ultra-low SWaP (Size, Weight, and Power) OEM package. ✔ Compact & High-Performance – Integrates C2, sensor/telemetry data, and comms relay for seamless UGV communications ✔ Advanced LDPC Channel Coding – Superior anti-interference performance
✔ Multi-Platform Compatibility – Ideal for robotics, UAVs, USVs, and unmanned systems |
