The forest fire prevention wireless video monitoring and transmission system

The forest fire prevention wireless video monitoring and transmission system Introduction According to statistics from the State Forestry Administration, an average of more than 10,000 forest fires occur in China every year, and the burned forest area accounts for about 5%to 8% of the country's forest area. Forest fires are sudden and random and can cause huge losses in a short period of time. Therefore, rapid detection and extinguishing of forest fires has become the top priority of forest fire prevention. Once a fire occurs, firefighting measures must be taken very quickly. Whether the firefighting is timely and whether the decision-making is appropriate, the most important thing is whether the fire point is discovered in time. However, the forest area is huge and the terrain is complex, making it difficult for traditional wired monitoring solutions. Deployment, wireless video monitoring system have become the preferred choice for fire monitoring in forest areas, which is an industry trend. Background The environment in forest areas is complex, blocked by mountains and woods, and requires long transmission distances, reducing the number of sites, which poses great challenges to wireless transmission solutions. The Long-distance wireless video transmission solution launched by IWAVE has the characteristics of strong anti-interference ability, strong non-line-of-sight (NLOS) transmission capability, low power consumption, and high protection level, and supports point-to-point, point-to-multipoint, MESH networking and other transmission methods. Flexible networking can be achieved. Solution For forest fire prevention wireless transmission,IWAVE 's outdoor wireless video transmission radio has the characteristics of stability, strong anti-interference, large bandwidth, and stable transmission rate . In general forest fire prevention wireless solutions, the monitoring center from the front-end monitoring location is blocked by trees, so it needs to be transmitted through relay nodes. The video and images at the front-end site are transmitted to the relay through FD-6170FT, and then The relay radio transmits various front-end video and image signals to the back-end monitoring center. The 4 monitoring points are distributed on a circle with a radius of about 25km from the monitoring center. Since there are many trees in the forest area and there are mountains blocking it, wiring is inconvenient and the environment is complex, so a wireless video transmission solution is the best choice. Schematic diagram of forest fire prevention and control monitoring points Solution's Description 4 monitoring points, each monitoring point is about 25 KM away from the monitoring center; In order to ensure the stability of transmission in complex environments, a two-section transmission method is adopted. The transmission from each monitoring point to the monitoring center is divided intoRange A and Range B. The monitoring point in A Range is to the relay point, and the monitoring point in segment B is to the monitoring center; Bandwidth and Distance: Range A transmission distance is 10~15Km, transmission bandwidth is 30Mbps; Range B transmission distance is 10~15KM, transmission bandwidth is 30Mbps, depending on the specific environment; Monitoring Point: consists of an FD-6710T transmitter, IP camera, solar power supply system and pole components; Relay Node: The FD-6710T transmitter and receiver are installed back-to-back for wireless relay transmission; Monitoring Center: composed of an FD-6710T receiver and video monitoring and storage related equipment; Power supply: 24V 1000W solar power supply system, the power consumption of the communication equipment is 30W; Antenna:FD-6710FT transmitter uses 10dbi omnidirectional antenna, and the receiver uses 10dbi omnidirectional antenna; Advantages Solution Advantages Forest fire prevention wireless surveillance video transmission solution 1: Save patrol personnel costs 2: Simple deployment and control, low cost , short construction period and more convenient later maintenance 3: 24-hour uninterrupted monitoring, real-time backhaul, and real-time detection in the command center 4: Does not rely on public networks, stable ad hoc network transmission is more secure and stable 5:1080P high-definition video transmission, 25Km long-distance wireless transmission solution 6:Wireless transmission equipment has low power consumption and does not require fans to heat up 7:Powered by solar battery system 8:Fully automatic operation, easy to install and use, short failure time and low maintenance workload Conclusion The forest fire prevention wireless video monitoring and transmission system is a forest fire prevention digital and networked remote wireless monitoring project. It centers on forest scene image collection and uses remote transmission equipment as the transmission platform. It combines digital image processing technology, wireless transmission technology, and wireless communication technology. Comprehensively used in forest fire monitoring and forest resource management, it can monitor a wide range of forest targets with high-definition images all-weather, all-round, and long-distance, and transmit large-area forest scenes to fire monitoring in real time through video and images. Center to realize long-distance centralized monitoring of fire prevention personnel indoors and outdoors; Moreover, while monitoring forest fire prevention, the system can also monitor forest resources, forest pests and diseases, and wild animals. It can even be used for vegetation protection and tree monitoring. Illegal loggers can be discovered through image recording, and the video data can be used as a basis for punishment. . Therefore, remote video monitoring systems are widely used in forest protection work.

Best Portable Radio For Firefighters

Best Portable Radio For Firefighters Introduction IWAVE PTT MESH radio enables firefighters to easily keep connected during a fire fighting event in Hunan province. The PTT (Push-To-Talk) Bodyworn narrowband MESH is our latest product radios provide instant push-to-talk communications, including private one-to-one calling, one-to-many group calling, all calling, and emergency calling. For the underground and indoor special environment, through the network topology of chain relay and MESH network, the wireless multi-hop network can be rapidly deployed and constructed, which effectively solves the problem of wireless signal occlusion and realizes the wireless communication between ground and underground, indoor and outdoor command center. Background On the afternoon of September 16, 2022, a fire broke out in the China Telecom Building in Hunan Province. The Lotus Garden China Telecom Building was the first building in Changsha to exceed 200 meters with a height of 218 meters. It was also known as the tallest building in Hunan at the time. It is still one of Changsha’s landmark buildings with a building height of 218 meters, 42 floors above ground and 2 floors underground. Challenge During the fire-fighting process, when firefighters entered the building to search and rescue, conventional DMR radios and cellular network radios were unable to achieve command and communication because there were too many blind spots and obstructions inside the building. Time is life. The whole communication system need be built up within a short time. So there is no enough time to find suitable place to put repeater. All the radios must be one-button to work and automatically communicate with each to set up the mesh radio network to cover the whole building from -2F to 42F. The other requirement for the communication system was that it needed to be able to interconnect the on-site command center during the fire fighting event. There is a fire fighting truck near the telecom building work as a command center to coordinate all the rescue members efforts. Solution In an emergency, the communication support team quickly turn on a IWAVE handset narrowband MESH radio base station with high antenna on the 1F of the telecom building. At same time, the second unit TS1 was also deployed on the entrance of the -2F. Then the 2units TS1 base station radios immediately connected with each other to build a big communication network covering the whole building. Fire fighters carry the TS1 base stations and T4 handset radios inside the building. Both T1 and T4 automatically join the adhoc voice communication network and expand the network to anywhere inside the building. With IWAVE tactical manet radio system, the voice communication network covered the whole building from -2F to 42F and on-site command vehicle and then the voice signal was remotely transmitted to the general command center. Benefits During the rescue process, underground buildings, tunnels and large-span buildings usually have large communication blind spots. This makes rescue more difficult. For tactical rescue teams, smooth and reliable communication is essential. IWAVE's MANET system is based on narrowband ad hoc networking technology, and all devices have the functional characteristics of rapid deployment and multi-hop cascading. Whether it is a city with tall buildings, indoor buildings or underground tracks, IWAVE's MANET radios can quickly set up an emergency communication network according to local conditions and achieve on-site network coverage as soon as possible. Extending signal coverage is a necessary condition to ensure that rescuers can successfully handle accidents and perform difficult tasks.
