IWAVE is Manufacture Off Grid Solar Powered Radio Base station and VHF Radio Repeater is commercial grade, fixed station and portable Solar Powered Repeaters for VHF Land Mobile, VHF Marine & Aviation. Our radio base station are designed for low current, solar powered applications primarily at base station & mountain-top sites.

Defensor-BL8 is ad-hoc long range radio repeater, which is designed to bring an innovative networking solution for safe and reliable communications in the urban area, wildland, forest, and other places with the absence of network infrastructure.The repeater adopts wireless interconnection technology to quickly create multi-hop narrowband networks through cascading connection, free of any IP link such as fiber optic and microwave. The repeater can repeat voice services on dual channels at the same time.

Large Area Coverage: Hundreds of Kilometers

  • The BL8 unit delivers exceptional coverage capabilities, with a single elevated unit providing 70-80km operational range. When strategically deploying two BL8 units at varying elevations, coverage expands to approximately 200km. The system further extends its reach through multi-hop functionality, enabling seamless MANET network expansion across extended distances and broader operational areas.


Automatic networking

  • Hundreds of BL8 can interconnect with each other automatically without any IP link such as fiber optic and microwave. In this peer-to-peer network, the loss of one or more repeaters does not affect the network operation.

Flexible Installation without relying on pre-existing infrastructure

  • Unlike conventional, DMR VHF/UHF, cellular and satellite telephony, which all rely upon land-based infrastructure, BL8 radio base station requires no fixed infrastructure. It can be established at any location, with preconfigured radios deployed outward to remote locations — all talking back to base and with each other to coordinate and execute operations.

In places where communication infrastructure is not available or have been damaged by natural or man-made disaster, it is highly desirable to provide critical communications so desperately needed to support operations.

IWAVE MANET Radio is often the only reliable means of communications in critical conditions.

A single BL8 unit deployed at an elevated position delivers 70-80km operational range. When two BL8 units are strategically positioned at different heights, coverage expands up to 200km. The system also features multi-hop networking functionality, enabling further extension of MANET radio coverage across wider areas and longer distances.
